Oh, and that "Champions Restraint" website needs to hire a photographer for their product photos
My understanding is that the dog either has to be inside an enclosed vehicle, or in a crate which is strapped down in an unenclosed vehicle. I don't think a harness system meets the requirements.

What Amy said was going to be my tip. I can't stand to see a dog loose in the pick-up bed. It's a pet peeve (if you will) of mine for a long time.

And I'm certainly not a Peta hugger. I hunt my dogs and they either ride in the cab or in a crate or a trailer made for dogs. All the hunters I've seen and even the people that do only hunt tests handle their dog's transportation this way. I won't repeat the words I've said seeing dogs in the back of truck beds going 60 mph down I35.

Sam,

Here is a suggestion for you. I put a big eye hook centered at the front of my bed just under the cab window. Then I could adjust the leash so the dog could just get her head just over the bed to look forward and let her mouth blow in the breeze. This would keep her from falling out of the bed anywhere. Kinda like the harness in the picture above but at the front of the bed. My dog loved it, was safe and could hang her head in the cab window for a little love.
