It looks unproven and new, There are many ways to save energy. Increase insulation, radiant barrier, I think Oncor comes out and evaluates your house for free. |

Although I don't know about this particular model, these sorts of devices work by balancing inductive and capacitive loads (related in electrical engineering to the power factor). These devices are power factor correctors. Industries that have a lot of electric motors or fluorescent lights often get their power factors squewed; this corrects that.
