That amount of money would last me for a very, very long time. It's amazing how people can just spend money like it's pocket change.

I can't hardly believe that Tibetan Mastiff tastes THAT much better than German Shepherd.

Saint Bernard is the preferred dog in China. I live and worked in the PRC and I did eat dog as a spicy Sichaun dish. Also in the local markets they left the hair on the tail as different colors had different amounts of Yang.

When one spends much time in China working and living on the economy, you quickly learn things are not always what they seem to be. I suspect that dog maybe as I learned the back door. When there was the Great CocaCola shortage and I could not buy a coke any where, I found a case on my desk where I was teaching. I was told you just had to know the back door. I suspect the 583K just didn't buy a dog but a back door....
