Congrats on the new house!

Now, you can finally get those jumping shots in the back yard that you always wanted!

Congratulations, Thomas. It looks like you struck Gold on this one. From now until closing will seem like forever.
I wondered how that worked out for you.

We had to extend our closing twice. The underwriters were backed up, and they kept coming up with new requirements that we had to get done, like requiring me to pay off all of my credit card and getting a termite inspection a day before my 3rd closing date. We finally closed 3 days before the house was scheduled to go into foreclosure.

Well, termite inspection is done and clear. Regular inspection went well, especially for a house that was built in 1983. The water heater was installed wrong and the deck is too close to the house. Other than that, everything was perfect.

All done. Moved my first 26' truck load of stuff into the house. Time to rest up for the ridiculous amount of work I will be doing tomorrow.

I can just imagine how excited you must be!

I can just imagine how exhausted you will be!

I moved all of my stuff, with some help from a co-worker. I hauled 3 UHaul truckloads (I think this was the 12-foot size) plus a 10-foot UHaul truckload, plus a half-dozen car loads. I had 2 10x10 store rooms plus my rented bedroom to move.

We have:
Our apartment In the Heights(her stuff, my clothes, TV, camera equipment)
8'x8' storage unit in the apartment
Two 10'x5' storage units (610/Ella)(wife's moms stuff, my stuff)
One 10'x20' storage unit in College Station (my dad's stuff, all of which was moved/cleaned today)
Two chairs, book case, W/D, wedding presents at mom's house in San Antonio
My baby grand piano at my grandma's house in New Orleans.

In the next 7 days, everything but the piano will be moved.

Just moving everything from the 10x20 unit about killed me today. At least we had nice weather. I am so exhausted, I can't sit up on the couch to veg a little before bed.

Sounds like you're going to need a bigger house already.
