Oh, no! Well, he's not suffering anymore. I didn't understand him smoking so much.
But then again it's a tough habit to break. Not that it contributed to the cancer he had but you never know. I liked him in that truck driver movie. Can't remember the name.

I was first introduced to him via the original Dirty Dancing movie...ahh the memories. Thanks to that movie, I can't look at a watermelon without laughing. Rest in peace, Patrick. I hate the "c" word. :(

In-frickin-deed.

One of the first movies I saw him in was Steel Dawn .. a train wreck of a movie that held the position of "Worst Movie I Ever Paid Money to See" in my book. (It was replaced by something else a number of years ago, but that would get this thread off track because some people love it.)

Come to think of it, Dirty Dancing may be the only movie he was ever in that I truly liked. (No, I didn't care for Ghost much.. I found it sad and morose, but I also watched it for the first time shortly after losing someone to senseless street violence.)

He was a good guy, though... never heard anything particularly bad about him in the tabloids or rumor mill. Somehow, he managed to rise above all that most of the time.

RIP

Forget his movies...I wasn't a big fan of any of them. However, his Chippendales dance skit with Chris Farley on Saturday Night Live was absolutely hilarious!

That's a shame. I liked alot of his stuff. Never saw Ghost all the way through, but Dirty Dancing was pretty good, and I REALLY liked Roadhouse. A little cheesy yeah, but still a cool movie. The classic SNL skit with Farley was just epic.

Shouldn't we be talking about something more controversial and get this thread locked down

I was 14 when Dirty Dancing came out, so I was totally in love with Patrick Swayze. I feel kinda like the guys did when Farrah passed away. Truly very sad and my thoughts go out to his wife and family.
