of "Peter, Paul, and Mary" fame died today after loosing her battle with leukemia at the age of 72.

She was one of my favs from the 60's.

I pulled out a couple of my PP&M records today and played them..

I saw them in concert in the mid-80s. They were a great group together.

I love PP&M so much. I only saw them live once, and I vowed to see them one more time, but Mary fell ill and they cancelled most of their perfromances this year. I'm going to listen to one of their CD's now. A sad day.

There harmonies were awesome. I remember them from the 1970s. "Puff the Magic Dragon", "Leaving on a Jetplane", "If I had a Hammer" are all songs I remember from that time. Exquisite voices.

many years ago I was flying home to my mom's house in Wisconsin...on the flight there were three people, two men and a woman who were chatting quietly with people around them...when the flight was rerouted and delayed on the tarmac they lead an impromptu concert/sing-a-long...absolutely the best live performance/concert I ever heard..memorable performers, may she rest in peace.
