haha, actually its drying in the oven now so I can grind it into powder and put it in gel caps. Apparently its incredibly good medicine for postpartum depression and excellent for menopause.

My midwife wrapped mine and put it in my freezer. Kinda skeeved me out but they are pretty useful I hear.

If it helps with PPD - regardless of whether 'it' helps or the 'idea' of it helps... do it.

PPD is a pain in the a$$. I had a good friend who struggled with it... and oh my...it was rough....

I've always heard it is a good thing to do. My sister in laws oldest baby-daddy (yeah....) had their sons wrapped and ceremonial burned then buried somewhere in San Fran. I dont think they ate it though.

we got a placenta in our freezer too. but we are not going to eat it or put it in pill.

My wife went through PPD pretty badly with our first and it didn't help that I was stationed out of state for those first few months... Apparently all the good hormones in the placenta help out vastly with PPD.
