Listing here.

Just keep in mind that the exchange rate means that the position pays the equivalent of $50k, in Dallas dollars.

Unless you commute ... then your car will eat most of your paycheck.

My first full-time newspaper gig as a reporter/photographer paid $6 an hour. That's with a four-year journalism degree, and I didn't get extra compensation for the Dektol stains on my pants! But was nearly 14 years ago.

For Nacogdoches that is okay pay. I grew up there and can tell you that, at the time I moved, that paper only had ONE photographer. Often times the writers were responsible for their own photos depending on the story.

The big problem with the job is that it is IN Nacogdoches! There is very little to do there outside of work. I tended to spend a lot of my spare time in Tyler, Houston or Austin.

I told my wife about this position as a joke. She didn't think it was very funny.

I'd take the job if I could.
