Ever wanted to work for Leica? This is your chance...

For anyone looking to work at Leica's first Store in Store opening in a few weeks in West Palm Beach, this is your opportunity as they are looking for an experienced salesperson.

The Pro Shop for Photographers is currently accepting applications at art@workshop.org for a salesperson with the following qualifications:

-Open, energetic and friendly personality with strong communication skills
-Strong business sense and customer service mentality
-Retail experience required
-Ideally familiar with the Leica brand and product line
-Experience as a professional (studio) photographer, Assistant or Digital -Technician using Digital Medium Format cameras
-Familiar with all elements of professional digital workflow from capture to output. Raw conversion, Color management, calibration, Software (i.e. Capture One, Lightroom, Photoshop, Aperture, etc.)
-Marketing and Sales experience is a plus. Preferably experienced with online marketing through Internet and social media (website, specialized forums, facebook, twitter, blogs, etc.)

Probably on Flagler Ave. I got thrown out of some jewelry store there years ago just for raising my camera up to my eye.

Jewelry stores are VERY protective when it comes to cameras. I've had to do a few photos at different malls for some newspapers and magazines over the years, and the one thing the mall PR person always says is, "just try not to shoot around the jewelry stores."

I guess it has to do with security...

Now, about this job: It sounds like something I would've tried ten years ago. It would be fun to work for Leica! Think about the discount!!!
