Cool Anybody Else Catch the F Bomb on SNL last night? - 09-27-2009, 04:02 PM

As soon as she let it slip, see they were saying friggen many times in the skit before the slip, she had the look of "OMG what DID I JUST DO TO MY CAREER!" pop on her face for like 1 second.

What is funny is that U2 was the guest musical act and BONO wasn't the culprit! (they also did 3 songs instead of the standard 2 for SNL).

http://www.nbcwashington.com/enterta...-62104947.html

Article missed that Central Standard Time Market is live along with the East Coast for the show while Mountain and West markets are 1 or 2 hours tape delayed.

I saw the JR Ewing Skit back in 81 when he yelled "who the F shot me" while setting in a wheelchair- that was his last appearance on the show and it basically killed his career. Didn't catch Norm dropping his though.

Rate the show about an 8, a couple sketches were not that great including the one with the slipup while a couple others were pretty good.

I can't really imagine that being a career-ender in this day and age. But I didn't see it, SNL hasn't been funny in a long time so I almost never watch anymore.

Big deal.

With all the explicit violence on TV, why are we still concerned about bad words?

I saw Norm drop his in the 90's and his last few episodes after the mistake. I didn't see it this weekend, though. I read about it and I also read about the 80's f bomb. I was also wondering if the rules at SNL have become a little more loose or if someone has just lost their job.

I saw the end part of that skit and it wasn't funny at all. I thought they were just sayin' "Friggin" all the time because they were "Biker Chicks"...Wish I would have caught it...its funny really that it happened. SNL probably gets a hefty fine from the FCC.
I still like SNL alot. Kristen Wiig, Fred Armasen, and a few others make me LoL.

If anything, this has boosted the show a bit, because the incident has received some media attention and several forums have had a post regarding it. I bet a few more people tune in next weekend to see if anyone has been fired or not...

I saw it but with the way I talked, almost sounded normal.

Kind of scary.

Ackroyd, Belushi, Radner, those were the best days.
