we use MAP as "moving average price" in the company I work for, and it's not unlikely I'm using the wrong acronym (it's happened before).
And admittedly price fixing is supposed to be illegal in the US, however that's different than a manufacturer saying that the minimum price that their products can be sold for I believe.
