Stars Season Opener - Who is going?

I am excited. Hockey season is finally here. I will be there. Don't know if I will take the camera or not. Section 107 Row T Seat 4 . . . right below the TV / Photo area.

While I would love to go to opening night the first game I'll be off for is on the 19th against L.A. I did get some great seats at the open house but won't be taking a camera.

Say hi... I'll be shooting all the games. More than likely on the ice during pregame/intermissions and either at glass holes on the opposite side or right above you on the TV platform or Ice Girl platform throughout the night. I really never know where I am going to be from period to period. It gets kinda hectic and crowded opening night too..

I'll keep an eye out for you.

I will look for you Andrew. Are you going to be shooting with your new 7D? I think hockey would be a good test of the camera. I would like to take a closer look at the 7D.

Yea Rob, I do intend on trying it out. If you someone shooting a Canon body without a grip, more than likely it's me with the 7D. I'll be wearing a white Stars polo with the small Green Stars logo on the front. (I may or may not have a jacket on however...sometimes it gets cold!).. Say hi if you see me.

I hope the dallas stars trip on their toe picks and have the worst season ever. I also hope they do as well as the Detroit Lions did in football last season.

(note: this boy who grew up in Minnesota is still bitter about why his pro hockey team went to a bunch of fans who most of have never even seen ice skates. This boy still has a north stars penant, and is still very bitter!)

I guess the fact that while in Minn, the team was experiencing poor attendance and could not get a deal done to get a new stadium has nothing to do with the move to Dallas.

I do not think moving here was intended to cause upset up north, but can see how folks believe that. Modano started with the Northstars... and he is still here. I remember seeing videos in the arena and on shows where, after we won the Stanley Cup, there was footage from Northstars games included. We accepted the Northstars for who they were, and accept them for who they have become.

I wish I could say not bad for a group of fans who had never seen an ice skate... but we North Texas folks were skating at the Galleria long before the Northstars came here :) Yes, not only had we seen ice skates, but we even had ICE RINKS LOL
