Sorry Larry, 2 photographers are plenty, Lisa on one side of the camera and me on the other. You've heard the old saying To many chefs, etc. Besides, I'm sure she will get cold feet :)

I visited www.photoflex.com to look at stuff tonight, and was a little taken aback by the current front page image. It looked strangely familiar ...

I'm thinking Elvira has been around long enough to need some serious post-processing.

Try HomeDepot for a submersible pump. They are usually pretty small unless you get the kind that pumps out your basement after a flood. If you know of some old junkyards, look for a pump out of an old evaporative (sp?) cooler system. You know, the old window units.

^ I miss my evaporating "swamp cooler" when I lived in Lubbock. The units only really work where the air is dry, but a pump from one could work for you.

Those pumps can move some serious water, as can a bilge pump for a bass boat. Not sure how hard it would be to wire up for a wall plug though?

Went to Home Depot and those pumps were too expensive.
I did some research on line and all the pumps are just too expensive for this project.

So...um...you'll need some high powered lights in the studio to make it work?

You can get a bilge pump cheap on ebay, then you need a power supply to convert to d/c. They make actual power converters that go from pretty expensive with adjustable voltage outputs etc to supper simple ones that aren't to bad.

A car battery charger actually works perfectly for this type of thing also, not battery needed inbetween.

I have a submersible pump for cleaning out my hot tub that would be perfect and is a/c powered , don't remember how much it was but it wasn't expensive.

If people are going to be in the water when it's running though i would go with a fused d/c system with fuses just big enough for the pump or make absolutely sure your plugged into a gfci socket with a a/c powered pump.

You don't want to fry anyone if a short happens.
