GEOCITIES IS CLOSING ON OCTOBER 26, 2009

http://geocities.yahoo.com/

Our 1st web photo gallery was hosted here that was 1997 when everything was done by hand from resizing to uploading each individual picture and putting each image link individually on each HTML page. IE was in its infancy, Netscape was king of the browsers.

Ah the good old days =)

I had a little homepage there with a few Mustang repair how-to's back when I had my old 65', but never did much with it because of their overly restrictive bandwidth limits.

I never used Geocities, I used Tripod. My roommate and I my freshman year learned a little about html and a little about midi files and decided to declare our apartment as an independent nation.

Each page had their own midi file with a different awesome song.

It was quite the amazing webpage.

My texas bands page will disappear. It went up in 1997 or so and received hundreds of thousands of visits - I'm not sure an exact number, because the counter resets to zero every 100k. Oh well, most of those bands are gone now, anyway...
