I know he's just an actor, so i can't knock him too much, but...

I doubt I'd ever put a ring flash on while using my 70-200mm so close that it won't even focus. This guy is doing everything wrong.

*shrug* The only time I saw him definitely closer than 1.4m was when he popped the flash in dude's face to wake him up.

Of course not looking through the viewfinder and snapping away isn't the best way to frame your shots, but hey if it works go for it
