Does anyone know where I can find one? I wouldn't even mind purchasing a real, non-working mic, if the price was right. Looking for something like Elvis used or the like...

My subject brought this one with him. I can probably find out if it is his or where he got it.

Shure 55, 55SH or 556 Microphone. Thou, they aren't cheap. Used ones can go for as much as 70-120.00 or more and new, they are usually about 199.00 and up.

Billy is right, the 55 series.

Renting one may suit your needs or you could scour eBay and find one thats close enough,

http://cgi.ebay.com/Old-Shure-Or-Tur...item335667b8bc -at that price you could just spray paint it.

This place has a CS-15e (the type used by him in the later days) for rent.

thank you all. Don- that's exactly the one I had in mind. I've done some searches and found stuff in the $120 range. Was hoping to find a prop or broken mic to save $$.
