Okay, who all went? (TexRenFest 2009)

I was there opening day from about 4:30 to 7pm, I think I saw CarleHayes but im not sure. Sure looked like her.

I was there with my bronica and my tripod, turned alot of heads. It was fun. Got a roll developed last night, look pretty good so far.

Anyone else there?

Till mid november, the 26th I think. There is plenty of time to get in on it and I will probobly be going back again this year as well. I never can go just once. Im gonna need to stock up on the Tri-X.

Its in plantersville/Magnolia, texas.

Take highway 45 north until you get to 249, then take 249 north until you get to 1774 and keep going, you will run right into it.

Not sure when im going back, my friend logan has free tickets again this year so I want to schedule a day with him. Saturday I went with my wife and my sister.

weekend after Thanksgiving is the last weekend.

I went Saturday from 9:30 to 6:30. I put together some stuff so my son and his friend could dress. My wife wore her chain as usual. In the hurry to get them all together I got out of the house without my camera.

One recommendation if you're planning to go: it's best to go before the daylight saving time fall back. Right now, you can stay and take photographs until after it starts closing down at 6pm. You can kinda hang out and wait for them to encourage you to leave. However, once daylight savings is gone, it's dark at shortly after 5pm. Makes is hard for photography, as well as trying to find your car.

We'll be going Highland Fling weekend (Nov 14-15th)
I'm with the Queen's Own Highlanders (Scottish Regiment) at Scarborough..we'll be marching in the parade, as guest performers for the second year.

The last weekend is Thanksgiving weekend ..they're open on Fri the 27, along with Sat and Sunday

+1 on this! This is so true. I once spent 2 hours looking for my car with all my gear in hand. Not fun.

Also, bring a fast lens, like your 50mm. You will need it after the sun starts to go down.
