Global Warming? - 10-12-2009, 12:21 PM

Global Warming? We are having November weather here in San Antonio, its 62 degrees F, and damp. We don't normally see this in October, and not usually till after Thanksgiving. I understand Idaho is REALLY cold right now. Cold Winter anyone? Anyone else having unusual weather for this time of year?

I hope we have a super cold winter. We need natural gas prices to go up!

Ah yes. Climate Change. A natural event. Happens all the time. Hot. Cold. Wet. Dry. Everything averages out over time. Time measured in eons.

Fast forward to the age of the mystical all seeing all knowing all powerful omnipotent................. you get my drift.

Climate change is something that can be legislated into submission.

A few weeks ago I reported that my little rural Electric Co-op already had a Cap & Trade Tax line on their monthly statements.

The way I see it, the fat cat stock brokers are going to make a killing on this at you know who's, that's right-YOU!, expense.

Rebel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! No, that's not a model of digital camera!

Climate change is a reality; has been for the last 5 billion years or so.

My folks live in Great Falls, MT and they were down to 10 F the other day. We have a cabin near Polebridge, MT (http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=all&q=Polebridge&m=text) where it was supposed to be around 5 below. Mom and Dad were up there last month and the lows were around 15 or so. I told them how it was getting cool down here too, but they weren't too sympathetic.

Not commenting on the politics of Global Warming, I am just commenting it seems colder now than the same time last year. Also wetter.

undoubtedly.....we've needed a good cold snap to freeze out the lawn bugs for a few years. Without a decent freeze, they just get lean and mean over winter and arrive with a vengeance come spring. A good freeze will give me a fighting chance. My gardener friends tell me the plants also need some freezing to set their internal clocks straight.
