Or why Mexican Coca-Cola is better.

I think Mexican coke is a bit sweeter than regular coke, but I think the better taste comes from it being in a glass bottle more than anything else.

It seems that almost everyone carries the Dublin-style Dr. Pepper these days. And I say Dublim-style, because these stores carry a local version of it, due to their contract. Notice that the bottles don't ACTUALLY say Dublin on them?

And, you can get the Mexican cokes at Sam's Club on Park lane and Greenville or at Central Market. It is much better than regular coke, but those mexicoke 20 oz (they are 20, right?) bottles are a lot of coke to drink in one sitting for me.

Check the label on the Pepsis. We got some at the Dallas Farmer's Market last year that contained fructose

What I get at Wal-Mart actually says "Dublin" on the label. No HFCS! :-)

We lived in Laredo in the early 60's for a little over a year. Our landlord was friends with the manager of the Nuevo Laredo CocaCola plant. He used to buy Coke from the Mexican Plant for 96 cents for a case of 12 QUARTS. He would sell us the Coke for $1.00 a case. (He made 4 cents a case profit for bringing them across the river.)
These were Real Quarts, in Glass Bottles! We could drink Coca Cola cheaper than we could drink Kool-Aid!
Those Were The Days!!!

most places bottling almost ANY soft drinks outside the USA use cane sugar instead of HFCS.

German Dr Pepper for example. Japanese Dr Pepper for another. Both taste just like "Dublin" Dr Pepper.

Which I purchase in convenient 6 packs at WalMart in (yep) Sugar Land for only $3/6.

Although it's an altered formula from the bottled product, Chicken Express has "Dublin Dr Pepper" on tap. That is, if you can avoid being seduced by their sweet tea!
