Where's Jason? He lives there. The day I met Jason to pick up an enlarger, we went to a sports bar. One of those places that started out in an old home and got expanded in all directions. Seriously good and VERY unhealthy grub. The best kind! I had the chicken fried steak. It was bigger than the plate!

Dyers is no longer in business. I would also recommend the McBrides downtown over the one south of the mall. Different owners and better food downtown. Branding Iron is a sure bet too.

yep.. Dyer's closed a few years ago.. can't go wrong with Branding Iron. Casa Manana is a good bet, definitely McBrides for steak (although I like the one on Maplewood better than the one downtown.) Gene's is a good place for burgers, as well as Stanley's (try the "beanie burger") and Pat's (downtown on Scott St)
Hibiscus (on Pearlie, near Sheppard AFB) for Greek..it's family operation, tell Mary, Stella and Stavros I said HI! if you go.
..there's a new Italian place on Kemp called Napoli's (good food.) Double Daves on Kemp has good pizza.. there are also a number of franchises around: Cheddars, Cracker Barrel, Applebees, Chili's, Buffalo Wild Wings, On the Border, Carino's, Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, Logan's Roadhouse, El Chico (on I-44), El Chico Cafe (Kemp and Southwest Pkwy, next to Hastings books); Parkway Grill on Southwest Parkway is the local sports bar, and tehre is an Irish pub downtown (Iron Horse.) There a re a couple of Chinese buffets, and Thai Orchid (somewhat Americanized, but will satisfy a craving.) Kev added 1 Minutes and 17 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below Quote:

I wouldn't normally say "go to Arby's," but there's a really old one in WF that I always end up eating in for some reason when I'm there. I rode in the Hotter 'N Hell Hundred a couple of years ago ... Arby's is great training food for bicycling. | | | |
