Problem with Firefox 3.5.3 cookies

Starting two days ago, I'm having to log into TPF and FB on every visit. The "Remember Me" box is checked each time. It appears that something is going on with cookies. Anyone else have/had this problem? What was the solution (please don't say another browser; I like FF and have used it for years)? Yes, I've done a search, followed the advice, but still having the problem.

I had to re-login to a bunch of sites the other day, but it only happened once and hasn't repeated. FF 3.5.3 seems pretty buggy. It crashes on me several times a week, usually when the browser is just sitting there and I'm not doing anything. I suppose it could be one of my add-ons, but I've been using the same ones for over a year and I never had these problems before 3.5.3.

Delete your profile. You can save off your bookmarks and then re-import them afterwards.

Usually an add-on is behind these sort of problems. I'd start with a fresh profile, then add back your add-ons one at a time and see if you have any more problems.

Now that you mention it, Jeff, I think the problem does coincide with the latest update. So far today, it's been fine.

Thanks, Amy, I'll ride it out for a while and see how it goes before putting more time into troubleshooting.

OK. I created an additional profile named "Test" so I could troubleshoot the issue. So far, so good. I'm going to use this profile for the rest of today, and if all goes well, it's the old profile that's the issue for some reason.
