A few shots of LARGE Helium Balloons and Fireworks

Since they were not able to race the big balloons this year at the Balloon Fiesta I was lucky enough to grab some shots of them still inflated with the fireworks going off. (I have more but they are on another flash card that is not at hand at the moment-will be adding them over the next few days).

BTW there was about $10,000 in Helium in each of the envelopes that was released to the air that night when the cancelled the race due to flight path weather conditions since these teams can be in the air for up to 3 days.

BTW these were hand held exposures or if I found a place to steady the camera, should have taken the monopod but wasn't expecting them to be on the ground in the dark- they are being lit by construction type portable light towers.
