The fact that's it's tied to B&N is a strike against it for me. I use Amazon for books, music and a lot of other stuff, and would prefer to keep it that way. The book-lending is great though, hopefully Amazon will feel enough pressure to add a similar feature to the Kindle system.

Oh, and 'nook' is a stupid-sounding name.

the kindle is nice, but who wants to have their only copy of a book on the portable device. i still like the sony version better.
would like color screens however for photos etc in some books. and a little better non reflecting screen.
