Veteran's Day and the National Park Service

This is a reminder that on Veteran's Day (November 11, a Wednesday this year), all sites administered by the National Park Service offer free admission to all past and current U.S. military personnel. This only applies to admission, not necessarily camping or other fees.

Last year, I was able to spend the night free of charge at a primitive campground administered by the NPS, and then I spend the day at Bandelier National Monument, also free of charge.
