Joe always seems to find the highest places.

Here's a couple of photos of him on the roof of the Texas Motorplex. Ask him about the fireworks.

I'm sure he will post some images later. He was the "REMOTE MAN" this weekend for sure.

Trackside all weekend. Joe made it up to the roof, but too high with too little safety wall for me.

dbphotos added 2 Minutes and 19 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below

#1: In that first photo I am not hanging on to the flag pole, I'm setting the camera into the magic arm that's clamped to the pole. Yes it was windy and yes, the flag pole was swaying but I still managed a few good pics that I'll post here soon.

#2: Please be informed that it was much more life-endangering climbing up the rickety, thin, old aluminum ladder than actually being on the roof itself.

#3: I'm taking the fifth as far as any fireworks are concerned.

Will post a photo tonight. Great event, great photographers there.

Got some of David. Don't worry, they'll show up here.

Joe

Did any of you gets shots of the wreck Friday night? I would like to see what the car looked like. Sure glad the drive made it out and was back at the track Saturday.

Yeah, I did. It was hard though as the crash occurred at the end of the track in the dark so keeping focus as it happened was hard not to mention no one had anything more than a 200mm lens working at the time (crash happened over a quarter mile away).

I'll get them posted tonight...

Joe
