but it looks like the end is near for my grandpa.

He was in the hospital a week ago for 8 days. Phnemonia (sp), sugar was sky high, blood pressure through the roof and fluid on his lungs etc.... Mind you he has been in the hospital probably 6 times this year.
Well he went back on Tuesday for a check up. They kept him again. They have confirmed that he has gallstones and that it very well may rupture. The fluid on his lungs they believe to be cause by lung cancer. They pulled 1.5 liters during his 8 day stay and all most the entire 1.5 liters is back already. The tests won't be back until next week. They found a spot on his liver while checking out the gallbladder that they believe to be cancer that is from the lungs. So if that is the case it is obviously in a later stage and no tellings where else it has spread.
The Dr flat out told them yesterday that they do not believe that he would make it through the surgery of any kind actually. He has had multiple heart surgeries etc... The Dr told them that if he does survive that the complications that would pretty much be certain would more than likely kill him within a week or 2. So my grandma and grandpa have to make the decision today. They plan to sign a DNR today.
My grandma is being strong, she always has been, but after her surgery complications etc... she isn't nearly as healthy as she could be.
My mother on the other hand has been in denial for a long time, but I guess the DR hit home. She broke down last night.
I don't want to sound Morbid but my grandpa has hurt for so long that he will be in a much better place when all is said and done.
So if you could keep my family in your thoughts and prayers it would be greatly appreciated.
I can not get down there until Sunday as I have a wedding tomorrow and Sat.
I do not want to see him on his death bed but they have said it looks like weeks not months.
I just hope and prayer that I don't have the flu. I was sore and hurting like crazy yesterday. That is just what I need to spread it to them.
Again prayers and thoughts appreciated.
