TriCoast Dealings? - 11-10-2009, 12:14 PM

Anyone have any dealings with the TriCoast Photo Guys?

I purchased a product from them online and I can not get anyone to answer my emails or phone calls regarding the purchase.

I received an automated reply from paypal that the payment has been confirmed.

Just wondering if I should be worried???

I am not impressed with their customer service at this time.

Yeah, these are good guys who are just so freakin busy they can't get everything done as quickly as they'd like.
Keep trying to contact Mike or Cody and they'll come through for you.
They are out of town a lot.

Actually Mike sent a message Sunday (Facebook I think) that they just got back into town and are trying to catch up on their orders.

I am sorry for the delays in communication I sadly have not been home in over a month besides a day here or there to repack and wash clothes.

I will say the entire month of Aug was a pre-sale on the guide and looking back I should have just raised the price of the guide to around $200 each which would slow the sales down. I just feel there is way too much "educational" material out there for a high price which simply is not worth it. However the lower price sent the sales through the roof and the micro-publisher simply can not keep up the demand right now. We are shipping out as fast as possible and I know we have another 100 to 150 guides at my studio which will ship out when I get home later this week.

I will check again on your order at that time but it should take care of all Aug orders at that time.

Looking back I not only should have raised the price to slow the sales down, I would have done things much differently in the way the orders were placed just honestly I never dreamed of the amount of orders which purchased to be honest and for that I am truly sorry. I know what it is like to order something and not get it ASAP and I am sorry I have caused that issue.

We are shipping out as fast as possible I promise and hopefully very soon all orders should be filled soon. Please email me office @ tricoastphoto . com with any questions or concerns and I will help you out anyway I can. I simply have not been home at all since AfterDark in Austin last month and order shipments have fallen behind. Please accept my word that I am truly sorry and the guides are shipping and you will receive yours soon.

Good guys with a great and honest reputation. As Tom mentioned, they're crazily busy and out of town a lot. They'll come through for you.

Tricoast are great people. I've had the pleasure of meeting Mike and Cody on several occasions. They are some of the busiest people I've ever heard of, though.

You ain't kidding! I couldn't be a TriCoast photographer. I don't have that much energy.

Mike,

Thanks so much for the reply. I understand about the being busy, and look forward to getting the guide. Hope you get a chance to take a breath pretty soon.
