Sure he can. I was using two cameras at the airshows I attended these past two weekends, my Canon DSLR's strap on top and my Canon F-1's strap under it. When I went for the F-1, I just pulled up and out, and the DSLR moved to the side. Not a problem.

I figured it must be someone from here, with those Smugmug straps. I went over the white lettering on my strap with a black magic marker, so it doesn't glow so much. You can still see what it says, but not so obvious.

I bet you didn't have the straps the same length. I never have any luck with two cameras around my neck like that.

I wish I had true twins. When I pose like that, one side of me is always a little lopsided.

The setup was.. 40D with 70-200 F/4L and 5D with 24-105 F/4L.

Two cameras around neck worked fine for most of the time. After sometime I moved one of the camera to shoulder.

I don't use the hood most of the time, but I keep them on the camera backwards, so that they are available when needed.

Different straps to quickly recognize cameras, than for anything else. :)

I always use lens hoods, as they not only help ensure against unwanted light flare they also offer some protection to the front elements in a bump situation.

Plus, on all my lenses and especially on my 70-200 f/2.8, I can't reach the focus ring to tweak focus when the hoods are mounted backward!
