I'm still looking for the app that lets me find a free iPhone on the sidewalk. For now, still got a lame Crapberry.

Currently Broadcast is my favorite app. I'm over a ministry at church that has over 60 volunteers and the most I can text at one time is 10. Broadcast gives you 100 free minutes a month you just create a group and record your message and it delivers it when you want it to.

zillow. The greatest app ever! Even Kanye can't interrupt with a greater one! It is a real estate app that shows you houses for sale, houses that sold, and the prices/appraised value, etc. Just like the map feature, you can drive down the road while checking out prices of houses for sale. Not totally accurate, but the for sale prices have been accurate. It also has a sale history.

It varies. My Foxmarks keeps my browser bookmarks sync'd with my iPhone, Google has a voice search, CNBC RT keeps me updated on the stock market, Print n Share allows me to print at home off the iPhone, Bookworm is a game I can waste "wait time" on waiting for someone, Five-0 Radio is a scanner I can monitor police and fire calls on, and there are more that I gravitate to depending on my mood. That flexibility is what keeps it interesting.

And USAA has a great banking app if you are a customer. There are other banking apps as well.

Admittedly, I've never made a study of different phones...Mine (not sure what brand) is just a phone with an answering machine built in...I seem to get a signal just about everywhere...What else does it need to do?......Ben

I agree. We're looking to buy a home and Zillow is awesome!

My must haves are Shazam, AroundMe, Facebook, and Flixster.

I have a crackberry and I LOVE it, but my hubby just got an iPhone and raves about it all. the. time....I mean, to the point of annoyance! The thing I like about it, tho, is that he's not bugging me to use my laptop now, since he can access the interwebs from his phone. Yay! No more waiting for him to get his fantasy football stuff DONE, so I can have my computer back!

DOF Master ($1.99) will calculate your DoF (DuH) for you based on the lens, camera body, focal length, etc. Very handy for macro work. You can get a version online, but having the app in the iPhone is faster.

Shazam is priceless.....and free. What's that tune I hear? Shazam will tell you. I have a lot of MP3s that are listed as "Track 8" by "Unknown". Let Shazam listen for a few seconds, it returns correct title and artist and even album. If you are so inclined you can buy the tune right there. Great for "Name that Tune" contests...

Units converts anything to anything: volume, speed, weight, currency, time,.....anything. free.....and us Engineers love it.

I drank the Kool-Aid about a month ago. Thus far, I'm rockin' the following non-pre-loaded apps:
  • AT&T Wireless account app
  • Chase Bank - Invaluable! Account balances, transfers...love it.
  • Facebook - To feed my mobile addiction.
  • Tracker Lite (flight tracking) - Helps my aviation spotting.
  • Shazam
  • Ringtone Recorder Pro - Haven't used it yet, but it's there.
  • LSN Local News - Houston's Channel 13 app for news, weather, etc
  • ESPN ScoreCenter - customizable scoreboard
  • NPR News - Don't use this one too much.
  • Yellow Pages and White Pages - 2 separate apps I haven't used yet, but certainly will
  • Wikipedia - For when I need to be right. Right now.
  • Google
  • Google Earth
  • WebMD - For my hypochondria.
  • iTranslate
  • Lightsaber - For the geek-chic quotient.
  • Photoshop Mobile - not bad for free
  • Photobucket Mobile - links to my account for mobile pics
  • FedEx Mobile - to track those infernally-slow deliveries
  • UPS Mobile - same as above
  • Ebay Mobile
  • PayPal Mobile
  • Amazon Mobile
  • iHandy Level - because I saw it on a commercial once
  • Showtimes - movie times by theater
  • Bejeweled 2
  • World Series of Poker Hold 'Em - rawks

I'm a cheapskate, so most of those are either free or $0.99.
