So if you shoot pics in November or December, you have no chance of getting a pic of the year.

Considering I've seen a lot of these before and Brad's got a strong point I'm thinking this isn't such an accurate link...

That and there isn't a hint of winners on the natgeo site.

Looks like you are right searched high and low and couldn't find it on nat geo site..even looked at past winners 07-08 and none were in there

Very cool pics, regardless. And I'm a sucker for shots of the Aurora Borealis. One day I'll make it up north to see them in person. I will probably be too in awe (and too cold) to even take pictures of it!
