If I wanted to ask a few questions about shooting products, from getting opinions on lighting, as well as how much glare on a glass object would be acceptable -- what subforum would you place it in?

I would try Photo Tips and Lighting Discussion (the former for general product photography questions and the latter for specific questions about lighting products).

I'm about to try a difficult lighting shot with reflective surfaces as well and was hoping this had been brought up in lighting already but I see you haven't made a post there yet??
