Hey everyone for upcoming holidays I am going to ask for one or two subscriptions for photography magazines from friends and family. I am familiar with some of the common mags that I get at the store like Popular photography and shutter bug. I would love some more technical magazines that give more professional info, tips, tricks, and techniques. Im sure you guys will have some great suggestions for your favorite Industry Magazines.

Of the magazine store books I like Digital Photo Pro the best.
Join PPA and get their monthly mag.
AfterCapture is a good one. | | | |

Here is a thread from last spring about the same question, so that you can see the discussion. http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...magazines.html

RangeFinder, AfterCapture (by the Rangefinder people) & Digital Photo Pro are the best.
Best thing about the first 2, you can get them free sometimes.
Used to really like Shutterbug, but for the last year they have become more like Popular Photography and tailored to the mass consumer (as especially evident by some of the stupid questions they editors get and answer)

For fine art, you'll be hard pressed to find a better magazine than Lenswork.
For a DVD "magazine," look into Photovision. I really enjoy each issue, even those segments that are outside of the kind of work I do.
