This is our new on-call phone for work. It has a DEDICATED camera button, but NO CAMERA! When hitting the button, it says "Camera Unavailable"... hahahaha! W.T.F.!



And yes, these pics were taken with my phone, which has a mechanical focus, macro'ish abilities, and DOF... :o

I saw the same with blackberries issued lately, they offer it without a camera - it can be a liability for employees to be using the camera, and if found with "personal" (i.e. non work related) photos on it, it's a clear use of employer property for personal purposes.

It's easier for the manufacturer to cast a second mold of the top shell with no place for a camera and rewrite the software to show no camera than to redo the button structure. It'd be cool if you could re-assign the button to do something else though.

Incidently, we can have camera's on these phones, and do on our other one. That, and I parade my 40D around all taking taking pics in the office lol... I.T. has a lot of freedoms... ;)
