Another Mans Trash - 12-01-2009, 05:21 PM

Can be a treasure. I had been wanting a fainting couch for a while, but really didnt want to spring the $$ to get one.Well about 6 weeks ago I was on the way home, and some one had one out for the trash man. I picked it up, and boy was it a mess. Evidently they had a cat that liked to claw and had really clawed it up. I bought 20 buckes worh of material and here is my new prop

Nice! You can make some really classic poses with that thing...I guess the cushion was all in good condition still?

The cusion was decent. It had a built in "pillow" at the back, but we didnt go back with that. It took my sister and I all day to recover it, a TON of staples had to be pulled out, but I think it photographs well.

I prefer to call it "Curb Shopping," and I am always on the lookout for treasure as well. Great find. Guessing the thing smells better, too, if you got a fine woman to pose on it.
