First... Addison has a mall?!? When did THIS happen? Second... The girl is cute, the guy has a freaky looking chest, and I prefer my Santa fat and fully clothed!

First, Christmas is commercialized. Now, it's sexualized. Which is no surprise, really, given our culture's obsession with sex and sexuality. I can understand some being upset.

Let me start by saying, I am not a prude, and I like tacky displays of crass originality, BUT...

Why?

It doesn't make sense. Seems that something this controversial has the huge potential to backfire and cause a loss of customers during a time of year in the retail business where you are hoping like heck to make it into the black for the year. not really a chance that I think I would take.

It just seems that nothing is sacred anymore.

As a parent of three young children who truly believe that the "real" Santa is at the mall. . . I'd be UPSET!

As an adult without my kiddos out and about and saw this like at Victoria Secrets or something I'd think . . . Great marketing.

I have two young boys (5 and 2) and for me this is a non issue.

From my perspective there are plenty of Santa's around town to get some pics taken. I would not go to this one, but I'm sure that others would...

It takes all kinds, Right? If there is a market for it, it will be back next year. If not then the story is dead.

IT is NOT AIMED TOWARDS KIDS but for the kid in adults. I believe that what they call is mall is a strip type center with all sorts of shops aimed towards an adult crowd. I believe that it is being done in a restraunt bar location or it may be an open space that is not leased currently not out in the open or near a toy department.
