Here's a similar story from Melbourne here in Oz Kakavas 'too savvy' to be Crown's victim. He gambled $1.5billion(!) in 18 months and lost $35 mill. He sued the casino but lost and has to pay their $1m legal bill.

Imagine having millions to lose! I'd be happy with a couple of $k.

2 things to say...

1. Personal responsibility.
2. You don't value money when it comes to you easy (inherited).

I know there are exceptions to #2.

I am interested in some reactions:

Which one is more irresponsible?

A man has 2500 dollars and he goes out to vegas and comes back without a dime...
Or a man goes out to Vegas with 150 million and still has 20 million left?

Not saying either are the model of stewardship, just that the millionaire isn't broke. Stupid, Yes! but not broke.

Dont play... I've yet to spend more than $50 in a casino. I go with my little $25 and play the penny machines. As far as I can remember, I've only ever come home with more than I went with twice. Once with $75, and just recently with $60. But hey... $25 for two or three hours worth of pointless entertainment isn't bad.

My husband and I went to Vegas last year. Neither of us gamble, and neither of us drink very much.... I think I tried one or two of those slots....but didn't see the entertainment value....so we continued walking around. *lol* $127 MILLION.... sheesh.

And I totally agree with Larry....the guy should run for office...
