I can't decide. It's basically the cherry on top of my christmas present from hubs.

New photo equipment vs Painting my car.

I've got a black 2000 Mustang GT that i used to race and show all the time, and it's seen better days. It's covered in overspray, that the worlds best claybar couldnt remove at this point, and the clear coat on the driver side fender decide to come off, so i sanded it and it's flat black. Luckily the car needs a bath and you cant tell usually. lol - so it could use a brand spanking new paint job, and then i might want to take photos of it again.

OR

If i go the photo equipment route - I can get a 7D. Or a 70-200 f/2.8. And that's a whole other freaking decision in itself. Sure, my 2 40ds work fine, and so does my 70-200 f/4. That doesnt make me want the new stuff any less.

I'm going crazy.

If it were me, I'd paint the car. If you plan to keep it, the new paint job could help protect the body a bit better than the old paint and you'd enjoy the car more over a longer period of time. As long as it's in excellent working order, of course!

The 7D looks fantastic. My 70-200 f/2.8 is one of my favorites. Considering the gear you already have, though, the upgrades won't magically make everything oodles better.

Get the camera, shoot some sessions to pay for the car paint.
