You can not throw things at cars, police vehicles or not. You can not throw things at police officers. Snowballs or not. What is inside the snowball? Maybe they are pulling a Philly Surprise? Throwing something at someone can be considered assault and possibly assault with a deadly weapon.

Those idiots trying to start something with him and the other police officers would have been well served to experience the warming touch of a tazer.

How about shot in the face with a gun?

That would be a sweet trick!

But I looks like(and I could be wrong, I wasn't there) that he pulled his gun because he was pissed, not because he felt his life or others were in danger. I doubt it helped the situation at all, but you have to pick your battles. I for one am not going to throw a snowball at a guy with a gun, but I don't think I would pull a gun on someone that throw a snowball at my car either.
IMHO, there was a bunch of stupid going on in that video.

Yeah, I wasn't there either, but reading what an eye witness said, he had his radio in his hand and was waving it around and after that he pulled his gun out. I would be willing to bet that snowballs were thrown AT HIM before the gun was pulled, but that would just be an assumption on my part. It would have been better if he had an M-16 and eliminated the problem(S) altogether!

Could be, but even then he's pulling the gun because he's pissed and not for fear of his or other lives.
Staying in the car and calling for backup and then aresting or ticketing the crowd for what ever law they were breaking would of been a better option IMHO. I assume they were breaking a law if a gun was pulled.

there was no proof that a snow ball hit his car, and even if it did there is no proof it wasnt accidental, bottom line is a snowball is NO REASON TO PULL A WEAPON, as a civilian who has his concealed hand gun license, even i know you only pull your weapon when you are prepared to do so, for any other John wayne worshiper here that thinks you can pull over guns a blazin for any other reason than "my life is in danger and i may have to use deadly force" is sadly mistaken

Oh, you have your CHL? I guess we shouldn't disagree with you, ever. CHL's give you a special knowledge that no one else can obtain and it automatically means you are right in discussions.

It is captured ON VIDEO (29 seconds) that one of the idiots threw a snowball at him and hit him in the face! Maybe that idiot had a CHL which means he can do that though?

that particular idiot deserves to have a gun drawn on him just because he assaulted an officer, and deserves to go to jail but for the officer to hop out and draw his weapon because he was pissed is not acceptable

Did you see him hop out and draw his weapon just because he was pissed? Did you see an accidental stray snowball hit his vehicle? Judging by the actions of the crowd I would bet they were intentionally throwing at cars and I believe it is against the law to throw anything at a police vehicle.
