Needed: a home for Lewis - 12-22-2009, 10:33 AM

Home Needed for a sweet cat: A few weeks ago my daughter rescued a beautiful Calico Cat and brought it home. There was a vet tag on her color, so we contacted the vet and took her over there, hoping she could be re-united with her family. We just discovered her family has moved and left her behind. 3 years... old..., spayed and healthy Please let me know and I will give you the vet’s name, number and address.

What a sweet looking kitty, I wish I had the room or I would take her off your hands. Hope you find a good home for her.

I can't believe someone would purposely leave their pet behind...

I am not a cat person, but this girl is the sweetest thing. All she wants is a head rub!!

I have covered any adoption fees so there is no cost. I really want this girl to get a home

Sounds like it's time for a road trip. What a sweet face - that cat needs a good home!

Bad karma for the person just abandoning a pet by leaving it behind to fend for itself.

Lisa, if you are serious I could pick her up for and you you get come to my house or I could meet you somewhere. There is a lot more to her story. They lived 8 miles from our neighborhood and somehow this cat made it to our door. My daughter was the only one at first she would come to. She was thin and hungry and her claws were worn down from the walk. But now she is fat and happy....just wants a home.

How about we get the former owners name, phone number and address.... I'd like to send them a "There's a special place in hell just for you" card...

Honestly - I hate cats.

Let me rephrase that - I like cats - I just have issues with cat urine. The foulest stuff to get rid of. I can't stand the smell... had an issue with a cat that decided my office was it's litterbox....Took her to the vet, tried multiple things... kept her from that room for 30 days...it took me 3 months to find a single woman, no kids, no pets, who liked cats....the cat and she are both in heaven together....and it only took me new carpet, new carpet pad, and kilz to seal the floor... *sigh*

But when you take an animal to be a 'pet' - as far as I'm concerned, it's like a kid. You either raise it, or find another family to raise it, or you take it to a facility for people who haven't had any luck with the previous two options - but you don't leave it sitting on the side of the road abandoned.

To me, that is just the worst kind of individual... I hope this one finds a new happy home with a loving family.

Happens all the time.. people misunderstand pet to mean fashion accessory.

SA is in the midde-ish of texas so a road trip wouldnt be bad at all.
The kitty is terribly cute too.

I spoke to my wife about it, we want a cat but right now isnt the right time. Plus we have two dogs so I would hate for them to not get along. I hope you find a good home for her, she is beautiful!

ROFLMBO.... my husband is not a cat fan.... and when someone asks him if he likes Cats - he tells them yes.... with a bit of spicy sauce and some noodles they are GREAT.

The looks of horror....if it wasn't so darn funny I wouldn't laugh... but oh it is!!!
