Exclamation &^%!@%$%$W%$!@ Fed Ex! Fast printer/Local? - 12-22-2009, 01:19 PM

I need some help ya'll - I've got 2 orders of images that SHOULD have been here yesterday that is not here.

Millers shows they are out -Fed Ex shows they are delivered - I don't have any $%!@&(**@!! packages.

The same Fed Ex guy that delivered a 20x30 canvas to a neighbors a month ago... who carried it down to me 3 weeks later when her kids FINALLY told her it was in the garage...

I normally print on metallic/textured paper - and I mount 8x10's - is there anyone LOCAL who can do this?

I'm in Katy - but anywhere in Houston surrounding area is perfectly fine. It'll give me a larger area to consider dumping a body... anyone need a fed ex uniform?

Um, you might try HPI, Houston Photo Imaging. I'm pretty sure they do any kind of printing you need.

all the more reason to print local or at least at a lab where you can talk to the person doing the printing.

I love Millers - they do an amazing job, and their customer service is phenomenal. It's FedEx that is the issue...

Sam - I checked out DPI - and they can do the print for me today, but 48 hour turn around if I want it mounted...and they are quite a bit more pricey than Millers... like QUITE a bit... wow.

It's still cheaper to use a lab rather than invest in the equipment to print images yourself, but that's an option, too!

Donna, for the number of packages FedEx delivers during the holidays they do a pretty good job.
May I suggest you call them with a tracking number and tell them the situation. They can contact the driver and determine where they delivered the package. It may take a couple of hours but it can be done (they've done it for me).
Their telephone # is 866-477-7532.
I hope this helps...

Thanks!

I'm already on a first name basis with them... *grin* This is the 4th time I've had to call, the first was a shipment from a friend, then the 20x30 canvas, ...

With the 20x30 canvas, the driver actually knocked on my door, and asked if I had the package.

Obviously not, otherwise I wouldn't be calling saying I didn't HAVE the package. The people I ordered the canvas from shipped me out another, which arrived the same day that the neighbor brought me the mis-delivered package.

Oh, the neighbor got it! Don't you hate that? It's like we can trust the neighbor! Well, not mine anyways. What a nightmare, Donna. Oh, and Fed Ex should've left a note saying it was at the neighbors! That's my beef!

Sandy - they didn't KNOW it was at the neighbors. It was a neighbor that lived WAY down the street... lol....

This is the reason I use a private mailbox. There is always someone there to sign for it and they leave a notice in my box that I have a package. That's a big deal when I am out of town for three or four days.

+1. UPS store cost me about $100 per year and there is someone there 7am to 8pm M-F and 8am to 5pm Saturday.

I have a UPS box - it's for my day job - but I think I'll take this suggestion and start using it.

Thanks Don.
