Paralyzed Dog Found In Puppy Mill - San Antonio News Story - KSAT San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO -- Laying on a Christmas-green fleece blanket, Rainbow the dappled chocolate dachshund waited for her constant pain to subside after a bath and her medication.

Quote: "So she can feel," she said. "Even in this much pain, this dog gives kisses. She's very well loved, but we don’t want her to hurt anymore."

These complete @ssholes need to have the book thrown at them. I HATE puppy mills, and unscrupulous breeders. D@mn It, pet owners have a responsibility to their animals, this just makes my blood boil. The crippled the dog, so she could throw litter after litter. Hell doesn't have a place miserable enough for these folks. I am sitting here looking at my dog right now, and it just makes me madder.....

Murph... if you want to make it even worse -

Bandera Bulletin

Also discovered during the raid was a small child, sleeping in the midst of what witnesses described as deplorable.

"Filthy would be an understatement," Bandera County Animal Control Liaison Jennifer Gaertner said.

Yup.... I couldn't even finish reading the article(s) for the sake of my sanity. These kinds of people are the ones who would make me wear an orange jump suit.

I say we skin them, dip them in a barrel of rubbing alcohol, roll them in salt, and then dip them again.

I have to agree with everyone here... I have four dogs, all of which were rescues of some sort- 3 from shelters (one of whom was about to be put down because he was considered unadoptable because of anxiety issues who is now the most friendly and loving dog I've ever had) and one because the owners were moving to Vietnam with the military.

I couldn't finish the article. I do believe that there is a special ring in hell for people like this.

Anyone who will do that to an animal, will do it to a human.

I agree 110%. There is no Hell special enough for people who'd treat an animal that way. I can only hope that Heaven is run by dogs, cats, horses, cows, and whatever else has ever been mistreated by someone who doesn't even deserve to be called a person. Or, at least the version of the hereafter they're faced with!

Isn't it wonderful, for these scum, that the good people in this country have a code of law.

Letting my imagination run wild I can think of all sorts of things to prepare these "breeders" for hell.

Our dogs have always been rescues. I cried for three days when I lost my collie-golden mix of 15 years. I just cannot imagine anything but evil treating dogs in this way.

Anything the law can dish out to them isn't enough.

I can only hope that in the sentencing phase of their trial there are some good people from the rescue groups and just other pet lovers that show up at the trial to demand proper punishment for this scum.

You do have to wonder. I don't have a dog because I cannot fence the steep yard of our rental and there is a school next door - the poor dog would go nuts on a chain all day. I do have 5 (soon to be 6) cats, who are never outside except for their garden cattery and netted 10m verandah. I get called the crazy cat lady. Rather be that than one of those misbegotten sons of . . . you know the rest.

The trouble is they never seem to get a sentence commensurate with the misery they have caused. How about a cell made of wire open to the elements with a cardboard box and a few newspapers for shelter - and no toilet either.

You know... just from the comments I'm not even going to read the story. I might end up planning a road trip if I did...
