It was the night before Christmas, my brother and his wife were headed home (they live in the country close on the Pease River) when all of a sudden he drives her SUV into a 10 ft snowdrift.

(At least that’s what she said!

) They are half a mile from home; so he trudges through the snow, back to the house to get his truck.

He decides to make the loop around the neighbor’s section (since her SUV is blocking the road) to come from behind to pull her SUV out of the snowdrift! He is about 100 yards from the highway when he hits ANOTHER HUGE snowdrift! Yep, Now he’s stuck!

He now makes the delightful call to his wife and relays the news!

An hour later their son in law arrives with his 4-wheel drive truck to pull my brother’s truck out of the snowdrift and suddenly

son in law’s truck is NOW buried in the bar ditch!!

So son in law calls a buddy with a 4-wheel drive to pull them out. The buddy finally gets big brother out, BUT no such luck with son in law’s truck.

It will spend the night buried in the snowdrift! Next they load up and head on over to rescue the wife. It took another hour, but my brother and his wife are now safe at home. They had planned to host Christmas lunch at their house this year, but when I last talked to them, they did not seem to be in the Christmas sprit!!

Plus the fact no one can get there with all the snow. So, they have decided to stay home

and the rest of the brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, outlaws, and friends are headed over to our aunt and uncles home tomorrow for Christmas lunch! Memories, they are priceless! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
