Very cool. I love moon shots. What camera is attached to the telescope? And what advantage did you get from 13 files? My above shot was three files composited. I "thought" that I saw a slight improvement in certain details, but also thought it was so slight that I was tricking myself into believing it.

Thanks everyone!

I used a Nikon D3 on a 12" Meade LX200GPS telescope. No particular reason as to why 13 photos. I made sure that I had plenty of overlap in the images. I could've done it in about 7 but wanted to play it safe. I'm going to try and shoot the Moon again late tonight and get the opposite of this exposure. The hope is to have enough images to make a mosaic. I'll post my progress if it doesn't clouds up!
