Wow I don't know who that group of people are that make up Stillmotion, but all their stuff is phenomenal. Their video work had my jaw resting on the keyboard. Holy smokes.

The most notable difference I saw was the crop factor.

Thanks.

Yeah, i don't know what's up with the lady doing a bad robot...is that some kind of joke? If the wanted repeatable movement they should have just done like a motion.

Yep.. Me too.. The 5D2 looked to have a slightly brighter exposure.. But all video quality looked extremely close. When shooting video with my 7D and 5D2, the only thing that I miss is the 24P on the 5D2. They both produce excellent video files.

The 'rolling shutter' effect is kind of a turn off...actually a huge turn off...I suppose if you pan slowly or don't shoot fast action, it should be ok?

I rarely, if ever, see much of that effect... you have to move it pretty dramatically to really notice it. Granted, if you plan to use the camera as a camcorder handheld, it'll probably disappoint you in that regard.

I see this feature as a film maker/documentary tool. Most of the time you shoot locked down and have your actors/subjects move within the frame versus following the subjects around with the camera. Just depends really...but it kicks butt for film making DOF and not having that "Video/camcorder look"... You just have to be realistic on what you plan to use the video feature for... It ain't a camcorder for sure...

Yeah, i've seen wedding footage shot with a 5II and it was breathtaking. They had stedycam's and such, but it was awesome.
Someone posted one here somewhere, a wedding shot with like five 5DII's. Even in the tests above, the DOF with the 1.2 looks dreamy.
