Pics on TV? - 01-05-2010, 11:27 AM

Easiest way to show pics on my TV?
Family/friends want to see the pics from my Europe trip.
I have a Sony Grand Wega LCD, a blue ray player, and an Xbox 360.
So what would be the easiest or best way to show pics on the tv?

Your D700 has an HDMI out on it... plug it directly into the TV and watch in HI-DEF.

If you've pulled the pics from your CF card to process them you can load them on the 360. My friend did this with our trip to Colorado, although I'm not sure how he got them on there. I think you can sync a PC with the 360.

You can sync a PC with the XBOX 360. Or, if you are windows challenged like me, you can load the pics on a card and USB reader and plug it into the XBOX 360.

A lot of the newer TV's themselves have USB or compact-flash readers built in for picture viewing.

My Sony has a Memory Stick slot on it or I can burn them to a DVD and watch the slide show on the Sony BluRay player. Some newer BD Live players can also hit internet picture sites (Flickr?), but that's device dependent.

Scott, how do you burn the files to dvd? Just dump them on there as if you were creating a back up, or do you do anything special? Does the blue ray player play them as a slide show automatically or give you any control options, or do you just need to press the > button to advance each pic?

I have the BDP-N460 player. The manual is here: http://www.docs.sony.com/release/BDPN460.pdf It's about 4MB, but on page 38 is the info you need. It will even play CD-ROMs and USB flash memory drives. Works pretty well and it's a pretty good BluRay player to boot!
