I used to use Evernote and was pretty satisfied (I liked it since it syncs all the notes so you can access them from multiple places). Can do text/photo/audio notes.

Check out "Remember the Milk". The iphone app is great AND it syncs to the web app. I have one list and can access it on my laptop in the office and it travels with me on my phone. Add an itme one place and its live on the other. Incredibly easy to use and very few clicks required to make it work.

Highly recommended.

I have used Awesome Note, EverNote, etc. and stopped looking when I found RTM. Its great.

I wanted something really simple if I did the grocery shopping. My wife found ShopShop. Simple for me means you put in the list, and I can actually line out the item (like it was a sheet of paper), then the item goes to the bottom of the list.

I use "ToDo" from Appigo | Remarkable iPhone? Applications .. and have since I bought my 1st Gen iPhone.. I *love* this software and it syncs to several of the online todo lists, include Remember The Milk and Toodeledo... neither of which I use anymore since the iPhone app is so rock solid.

I end up using the note pad usually, although I sometimes use Google's task list since it's built into all the other google apps.
