I'm not sure if you saw the maternity shots(in the human form section but they are safe) that I posted, but it was a tf* shoot. Well, now she wants a cd of the images that I have processed so she can make copies for her and for her family and friends... We never discussed the possibility of this before shooting and now I'm not sure what to do. I have never given anyone a cd of my images. They have always gotten electronic copies with my logo on them... Any words of wisdom? | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. I would offer to do the prints (for a price) and inform her that you do photography as a business and would never give away printing rights for free.

I wouldn't have a problem if she just wanted 1 print here or there. I even offered to her that if she lets me know which ones she wants that I could give her a print, but not a cd for her to make her own prints.

what is a TF* shoot ? TFP, TFCD, TFDVD, TFEMAIL, TFLOWRES, TFNADA.
What does your model release say she gets ?
If you didn't specify, give her a CD of the images after you've edited and photoshopped them. That's pretty much much what I think TF* means.
She gets usable images, you get to use them for advertising.

That is what I do. Give them a cd. You can offer to print and tell her how much. But give her the cd. If not she will just take the photos and scan them. Did you give her any referral cards. I give out business size cards with her photo on the front and my info on the back. I get new business this way.

Yea i am also confused on TF*. Seems to me she should come back and say that you can use it for personal use but dont show anyone because that is not what she meant by TF*. Really if there is any way to misinterpret what you were offering i would learn from your mistake and move on. If you wanted to get paid anything for this you should have discussed pricing otherwise i personally would think you were trying to bait and switch me. She might come back and pay for baby pictures with you, but based on this experience, maybe not. Janice says it much more eloquently in far fewer words.

When I do TF* shoots I let the model do whatever she wants with the pictures as long as my watermark is not cut off and she's not using the pictures for commercial purposes. Even though I'm not getting money for the shoot, it's not as if I'm doing it for nothing because I am getting the other person's time too (some of these models actually do other things too and their time is important to them) and I'm getting experience that I would otherwise be paying for in one of the many workshops that seem to pop up every week, and I'm building my portfolio. Life is too short to fight everything.
