Bachelors degree in photography/arts is the sticking point.
My guess is they are advertising for someone they already have/know, and are fulfilling requirements of a job search before hiring.

Or more likely what they do is set the qualifications higher than average, so that tehy can weed out those who dont even bother applying for fear of not getting accepted.

If you have the portfolio and street cred.... apply. All those job opening ads say they want a BA. That never stopped me.

They are insane for wanting to do this in-house. They should be hiring a freelancer when they need one.

Why would you say insane?? This is a full time position for the world's largest retailer of beauty supplies and products.

I would expect they would need a constant stream of product photos for catalogs, price lists, and store displays.

Don. My son is a software designer for Sally in the Denton office. He wrote their 'Point of Sale' software and was their August "Employee of the Month". If an in house character reference would help.........!

Having known a few people that have worked for Sally in Denton, I'll say this:

They do everything they can in-house, hire within the house, and this job will be a whole lot more than just taking catalog pictures.
