Comp-USA.... - 01-17-2010, 12:24 AM

Hey I don't know about anywhere else...but Comp-USA opened back up in Houston....they are located on I-10 between Bunker-Hill and Gessner.....I was driving by today and saw the sign...stopped in and they said that Saturday Jan. 16th 2010 was there first day back...the same people that own Tiger-Direct own them...I was also told by one of the poeple in the store...that they are opening 39 stores across the US....and that Circuit City...who...is owned by Tiger-Direct will be opening stores again....

Just thought you might like to know....they have all the old hard to find parts...and actually some great prices....

Have fun shopping....

They have had a store in El Paso for a long time, I was in there last spring. I was amazed because all their stores in San Antonio were closed in there bankruptcy.

What I noticed was they seem to be less top tier merchandise and lots more of the non name brand items, at least last time I was there.

The CompUSA store nearest me never got a new tenant. And if they return to it, I'll never be a customer. Got burned once on a major purchase.

I stopped in yesterday, I use to be a manager in several of there stores and helped open several of there stores as well.... a lot of the old time employees from the old Comp USA stores are working in that store. The only thing I don't like is that they work on commission, so they follow you around the store! There going to try to open several more stores in Houston, from what I was told......

I know this was said, but COMP USA is not the same old COMP USA, they were bought by TIGER DIRECT (an awesome online company), What is GREAT is that they will honor ONLINE pricing at the local store level !!!!!!!!!

There is one in PLANO

That's because El Paso has everything! K-Mart even stayed open there when Martha had all her troubles. I have no idea why these kind of stores stay open there though.
