Valentine Day gifts for men - 01-27-2010, 10:11 AM

Okay, since there are way more men on this forum than women I'm hoping you can give me some ideas for V-day gifts for the men in my life, i.e. husband and two grown sons. They're not into photography so think outside that realm.

Or maybe V-day is not for men? It seems more of a woman's holiday. What do you think?

It's really not for men. We could care less. But thanks for the reminder that we have to do something for the women!

Do your sons have wives or significant others? A gift certificate for a night out or tickets to an event is usually what we do for our son and his wife (and an offer to babysit). Doesn't have to be for Valentine's night.

Instead of gifts, my husband and I usually pick a nice hotel and do a pampering getaway for ourselves. Always appreciated!

Appreciate what ever they do.... even if it's not as romantic as you'd wanted....Valentines day is a crazy idea... I'd rather my husband show me he loves me and cares for me the other 364 days of the year and totally screw up on V-day...

As for guys... here's my suggestions:

Video Games
Gift Cards to Electronic Stores (Fry's Electronics, New Egg, Best Buy)
Gratuitous Sex Acts(obviously with the husband, not the sons, *lol*)
Large Televisions
Large Monitors

You notice none of them have to do with romance... ;-)

As for guys... here's my suggestions:

1 Video Games
2 Gift Cards to Electronic Stores (Fry's Electronics, New Egg, Best Buy)
3 Gratuitous Sex Acts(obviously with the husband, not the sons, *lol*)
4 Large Televisions
5 Large Monitors

Those are all awesome suggestions

Only thing that could top it would be, receive #3 while playing #1, on your #4 that you just bought with #2

I've always thought of Valentine's Day as being a second tier holiday, not on the level of birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and the like. So I don't think extravagant gifts are in order. I would say a bottle of something (wine/port/scotch/tequila; choose whatever the guy's favorite drink is) would be appreciated just fine.

We're not that difficult to please really...For instance, if a woman shows up naked and brings pizza I'll be pefectly content......Ben

You must know a nice quiet little place in Big D. I refuse to visit a restaurant on V-Day.

my ex and i never believed in valentines day either....but when my now husband and i first started dating he bought me flowers for valentines day and a teddy bear and a box of chocolates. I ended up last minute at frys getting him a gift card. he isnt very good at recieving gifts.....he likes to be the one to buy them and tell everyone else not to get him anything, so its ALWAYS hard to shop for him. i am thinking about getting him a wii game since that is something we both do together and enjoy doing. besides the wii games lead him to #3 since he is constantly beating me at games!! hehehe
